"Enabling AI Robotics"

Robotics and automation are among the key technologies when it comes to making industrial processes sustainable, resilient and competitive. The use of artificial intelligence can further increase this potential: production systems are becoming more intelligent and flexible and are able to learn and implement complex tasks independently.

At automatica 2025, RoX will be demonstrating how an open ecosystem based on a sovereign data space can form the basis for the development and operation of AI-based robotics in the future.

In this context, three demonstrators for production await you:

Teach & Assemble

An AI-supported robot learns new assembly layouts through robot vision and enables autonomous assembly based on user-defined examples.

Quality Inspection

Based on autonomous path planning, an AI-supported robot carries out quality inspections. An intuitive user interface enables simple programming and set-up.

Dynamic Pick & Place

Through dynamic object recognition, planning and motion control, an AI-supported robot can pick up and place unknown objects.

Use these three demonstrators to experience how the ecosystem and the data spaces are driving robotics forward:

Asset Explore - Seamless Digital Onboarding

Asset Explore is designed to enable manufacturers to publish digital descriptions of their hardware and software components in a trusted data space. Solution developers can seamlessly recognize, incorporate and integrate these assets into virtual robotic cells. This simplifies simulation, layout design and early validation in the development process.

Data Exchange - Trusted Insights

The data space offers secure and sovereign access to production and robotics data. Value-added services can use this live data for analysis, development or maintenance. The solution enables scalable value creation across the entire RoX ecosystem.

AI Exchange - Continuous AI Model Improvement

The data space will allow customers to securely exchange technical data for training AI vision models based on synthetic data. In this example, the customer receives a ready-to-use AI vision model that can be updated and re-trained based on real application data. The process enables one-to-many access (enabler, solution developer, end customer) from development to operation, while maintaining full traceability and data control.
